Group Therapy
Do you…
Experience intense anxiety, distress, or self-criticism if you make a mistake, do not get a perfect grade, or do not perform perfection on a work assignment?
Feel like what you accomplish is never quite good enough?
Procrastinate on assignments or tasks because they have to be just right?
Feel less than others if you do not give more than 100% on everything you do?
Often feel pressured to meet expectations others have for you?
Overcommit yourself because you struggle to say no, fear letting others down, or feel guilty when you have free time?
If you answered yes to any of these statements, then our perfectionism therapy group may be a great fit for you! Each group will consist of 7 weekly sessions, lasting 60-75 minutes and will be offered virtually so participants can join virtually from the privacy of their own homes. Each session will provide research-based strategies and techniques to help individuals develop insight and learn to experience less stress while still striving for success. The program is designed to help reduce anxiety and distress related to beliefs, standards, and expectations around performance and achievement in a safe, confidential, and supportive space with individuals facing similar concerns.
Every participant will receive one 45-50 minute intake appointment, 7 weekly group sessions, and numerous resources each meeting. The total for all 8 sessions is due at enrollment, and consists of $179 for the intake and $59.95 per group session. For an investment of less than $599, significantly less than the cost of a month of services in many practices, you will get 2-months of high-quality, research-based, specialized treatment, care, and support tailored to help you! The group is facilitated by Dr. Traci Ballou-Broadnax, Psy.D., an Ivy League-educated psychologist with over 20 years of experience researching perfectionism and working with individuals to build healthier relationships to achievement.
